DAY19: bright ideas

I am thankful to God for giving me bright ideas every now and then.

Excited much on doing a bit of an eccentric yet community service-y project with some friends from college.

It is supposed to be inspired by Candy Chang (see her website here), and it will be executed by us.

If president Obama's speech writer wrote his brilliant speech in a starbucks coffee shop, us friends crafted this idea on a facebook thread. Wonderful isn't it?

Should be writing about the realization of the said idea soon. :)

It's been a while since I've been here. It's quite interesting to look back and see how the old me thought, and how much I still feel the same in some ways while also being different in others. I think I want to try and revive this space because I've been feeling a bit lonely and wanting someone to talk to at the end of the day. And since it's usually just me and my dog after long days at work or on weekends, I thought maybe I'd write it down instead of paying for a therapist. So, I'm currently at a crossroads. Crazy Cambodia Day1

I have been meticulously planning/ dreaming for this trip for the last 3-6 months and it is fantastic to finally be here and be outside of the Philippines. We booked an evening flight from Manila to Siem Reap, got out of our work modes (me having the easier part in getting out of work while tiah having a harder time to do so), went to the airport and boarded our flight. The flight to siem reap was tiring and we had a bit of a scare when we arrived because it felt like Siem Reap was a ghost town. But the Lord was gracious. He gave us a very good tuk-tuk driver and, a very good and cheap hostel accommodation. We woke up to a different country the next morning and this is our first  first impression of Siem Reap:

DAY20: MERALCO yellow card & DAY21: network/ sphere of influence

DAY20: MERALCO... for the Yellow Card For all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams (hahaha), am still is thankful to MERALCO for Day20 because they gave me the yellow card for my project. Though its not yet the final stage, its konti na lang before my application finally gets done. The MERALCO yellow card made me a happy girl today Leaving would be a little less stressful now... DAY21: Network/ Sphere of Influence It was my first time to sit down and perform this "family tree" activity; due to time constraints, I basically just doodled whatever it is that came first in my mind. The mechanics is to simply draw five concentric circles, put your name at the center, the names of your immediate family at the next circle, names of household on the next, relatives next and affiliations on the last one.
