DAY3 and DAY4

Day3: Opportunities to Play

So it was my first time to go to enchanted kingdom yesterday and I had a blast! It was the greatest company outing to date.

I was able to do a lot of things that I used to chicken out to before. It was my first time to ride a small roller coaster (see above) and a big one (Space Shuttle). I honestly thought that the space shuttle is some sort of enclosed space ship thing that is a roller coaster or something. It wasn't until yesterday that I was convinced na it was really just a roller coaster that's insane-er than the other ones.

It was my first to ride a Ferris wheel, the Extereme thing, and the Anchor's away. I'd definitely go back to EK to see their fireworks and ride the Grand Carousel and  repeat everything I have ridden yesterday.

Day 4:High School mates ganging up for Matet

This event is actually still a part of Day3; but, since it ended at 2am in the morning, this is officially Day4. Matet has cancer of the Occipital Lobe and it was found out that she had tumors in the spine. All of us kinda panicked when we learned that she was confined in the ICU and that her conditions were not that great.

So, the UP Rural High School batch of 2000 organized a fund raising event (as announced previously, http://theshenanigansofeenamorata.blogspot.com/2012/04/all-in-days-work-tuesday.html) to help our dear batchmate fight her battle with cancer.

It was great to see familiar faces. We're all different now, some of us are already doctors, engineers, finance experts, teachers, etc. all finding our way to life and finding our paths to what we're really supposed be in this world. But, Matet was able to bring us together.

We had the rockin opportunity to take our latest batch picture and raise a net total of 40k-ish net for Matet's treatment; not counting the money that was directly deposited to Matet's bank account.

Kudos to all of us for doing this and for the camaraderie that is still there. I hope that we'd always be able to channel all of this to create a beautifully lasting impact into this world.

And, to Matet: Thank you for bringing us together. We'd be fighting this battle with you.
