DAY8: for the opportunity to TEACH; and the continuous dream of doing so...

YAY! Today I am super thankful for the God given opportunity to teach at the Department of Electrical Engineering at UPLB and for giving me dreams of doing it again someday.

The Department of Electrical Engineering at UPLB (ahem studied and taught here before) has once again bagged the top spot among all the Electrical Engineering schools in the country. Everyone who came from this school and took the exam this year (see results of EE board exams here) passed and three of them got into the top 10 (see here).

Modesty aside, it is nothing new and surprising. It should actually be not much of a big fuss since the great Department of Electrical Engineering at UPLB has been like doing it for a very long time already. PERO! I was able to handle some of the students in this batch kasi.

It feels nice to see your students do and accomplish great things. Makes the heart grow big and happy. Super proud.. super proud of my students. :)

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW BATCH OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS FROM UPLB!!!

Do good to your country and to your fellow men. Live your life well, and do not waste your potential on insignificant things. Find your purpose and pursue it; do not be blinded by the dreams of acquiring wealth and it alone. I think money or the acquisition of it... being the sole purpose of one's life is too shallow of a purpose to live with. Yay! Enjoy life! Share it. There's too much beauty in it too keep for oneself. BE an iskolar para sa bayan.

So I take today as an affirmation to go back... and teach. Though not yet now... everything shall be intentional and purposeful for that reason from here on.

PS.

  • 7 out of 7 of my electricians passed their NCII Electrical Installation and Maintenance accreditation exam
  • a foreman passed the Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination
  • a colleague from my company passed the board exam.. finally... i think
  • students from UPLB passed the board exam 100 %; 2 out of 3 of the students who topped the exam from UPLB were former students
lalalalalala!! happy me! happy me! :)
